This room is a subterranean basement, approximately 12' x 25' built with ICF block walls, providing over R-30 effective insulation, with the concrete mass contained in the walls, floor and ceiling (8" structural concrete ceiling) helping to maintain an almost even temperature year around.  The stone floor contains radiant heating, when desired, thermally isolated from the refrigerated wine room shown behind insulated glass.

The room is accessed either by elevator or limestone stairwell.You'll notice your cell phone loosing its signal as you descend into the room.

The walls are created by journeymen plasterers (a lost skill/art not to be confused with stucco) who also created moldings on site, determining shapes, casting moldings unique to the project.  Once cured, artisans finished the walls as shown.
